Brent Davis, La Jolla Tennis Club Head Professional - U.S.P.T.R. Certified

Prior to joining the La Jolla Tennis Club, Brent worked with a number of junior players at George Barnes Tennis Center. He also worked at Rancho Santa Fe Country Club and Rancho Valencia Resort & Spa with numerous juniors and adults.

Ty Johnson, Tennis Professional

Our La Jolla Tennis Club Professional, Ty Johnson, has been teaching for at least 30 years. With many tournament wins in his background, it is difficult to narrow down his many accomplishments. One outstanding 1995 achievement was being awarded San Diego Men's NUMBER ONE tennis player in the thirty-fives. You will appreciate his expert tennis instruction during lessons.

Kimberly Curtis, Tennis Professional

Vivacious!  Energetic!  Friendly!  These are but a few words describing Kimberly Curtis, our newest Tennis Professional working since January 2007 at La Jolla Tennis Club. Originally, she is from Tucson, Arizona. Kimberly was awarded a Division One tennis scholarship to the University of Hawaii, completing her eligibility in 2005.

In 2006, she was a traveling coach/hitting partner for a junior player who trained at IMG/Nick Bollettierri's Academy in Bradenton, Florida. JB Schiller, Tennis Professional

JB started teaching at the opening of the Pacific Athletic Club in Del Mar at 16. For the past 6 years, he has helped teach and run the La Jolla Tennis Club Junior Summer Program.

JB was a four time CIF team champion at La Jolla High and a Coastal League champion in doubles for two years. He played number 1 single and doubles for Westmont College and reached a national ranking of 23 in the nation.

Court Reservations -

Procedure:
Call 858.454.4434 (Pro Shop) 12 to 72 hours (3 days) in advance with names of participants.

Ask for 1 hour for singles or 1 1/2 hours for doubles, giving time and court preference.

Other Guidelines:
1. Only Members of the La Jolla Tennis Club may reserve courts.
2. Courts 2, 8, or 9 can be reserved. Court 6 after 5 pm can be reserved due to lack of lighting on 8 & 9 and court 2 being used by the teaching professionals.
3. No player may be identified in more than 1 reservation per day.
4. If all of the players are not at the court at the designated reservation time, the court may be given up to waiting players.
5. If a court is not reserved, it is available subject to the current court access procedures.

The purpose of initiating this court reservation system is to make the courts at the La Jolla Tennis Club more accessible to ALL members. La Jolla Tennis Club League Rules -

1.   You must be a member of La Jolla Tennis Club to play on a La Jolla Tennis Club Team.  Even if the league that you are participating in does not require that you be a full dues paying member of the club you represent, La Jolla Tennis Club DOES require the membership.

2.  Rosters and dates must be approved by the LJTC Club Manager before a Captain submits their roster to a San Diego League Director.  Please request that no more than half of your matches be "at home" games.

3. LJTC courts will not be provided for any team with non-members on their roster.
